All Saints Church, Station Road, New Longton, Preston PR4 4LN Ordnance Survey Grid Reference - SD 50980 25628 IWM War Memorials Register - 64074 War Memorials Online - Not on site The memorial is situated within the church on the south wall. The original church stood at the corner of Hugh Barn Lane and Station Road and this site now makes up part of the school attached to the modern church. This is where the memorial was originally sited.
The memorial takes the shape of a bronze nowy headed plaque and bears the names of 14 men who died in World War 1 over two columns. There is a further extension plaque fixed to the foot of the original plaque bearing the names of 14 men over three columns who died in World War 2 |
