War Memorials Online - Not on site
The memorial is situated within the church on the south wall.  The original church stood at the corner of Hugh Barn Lane and Station Road and this site now makes up part of the school attached to the modern church.  This is where the memorial was originally sited.

The memorial takes the shape of a bronze nowy headed plaque and bears the names of 14 men who died in World War 1 over two columns.  There is a further extension plaque fixed to the foot of the original plaque bearing the names of 14 men over three columns who died in World War 2

SOCIAL
The WFA was formed in 1980 to maintain interest in the First World War (1914-1918). We work to perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of all, from all sides, on all Fronts: on land, at sea, in the air and on the Home Front. The WFA is non-political and does not seek to glorify war.
